BBQ Chicken Sliders with RubyFrost Apple Slaw
BBQ Chicken Sliders are the perfect snack or dinner. Shredded BBQ chicken topped with melty cheese and a fresh and crunch RubyFrost apple slaw on toasted slider buns. These will be your new game day go-to!

Ingredients
- Mayonnaise - 1/2 cup
- Olive Oil - 1 tbsp
- Apple Cider Vinegar - 1 tsp
- Whole Grain Mustard - 1 tsp
- Hot Sauce - a few dashes
- Celery Salt - 3/4 tsp
- Kosher Salt - 1/4 tsp
- Sugar - 1/2 tsp
- Garlic Powder - 1/4 tsp
- RubyFrost Apples, shaved on the 3 millimeter / ⅛ inch setting on a mandolin with the large julienne blade - 2 1/2 cups (about 2-3 apples)
- Lemon Juice - 2 tbsp
- Bagged Coleslaw Mix - 16 oz
- Green Onion - 1 bunch, sliced thin
- Sliders -
- Hawaiian Roll Buns, sliced through the middle leaving the tops attached and the bottoms attached - 12
- Chicken, shredded and cooked - 3 cups
- BBQ Sauce - 1/2 cup
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese - 1 1/2 cups
- Salted Butter, melted - 2 tbsp
- Ranch Seasoning - 1 tsp
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, oil, vinegar, mustard, hot sauce, celery salt, kosher salt, sugar and garlic powder until well combined.
- In a medium bowl, place the julienned apples and pour the lemon juice over them. Toss to lightly coat.
- Place the coleslaw mix and sliced onions into the large bowl with the dressing and then pour in the apples. Toss well until everything is fully coated. Cover and refrigerate while you prepare the sliders.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line a large sheet pan with parchment. Place the bottom half of the slider buns onto one side of the sheet pan. Toast for 5 minutes and remove from the oven.
- While the bottoms of the slider rolls bake, combine chicken and BBQ sauce until the chicken is evenly coated.
- Spread the chicken on the bottom rolls on the pan. Sprinkle with an even layer of shredded cheddar cheese. Place the connected tops of the slider rolls on the other side of the pan.
- In a small bowl, whisk the melted butter and the ranch seasoning until well combined. Brush this over the slider roll tops.
- Return to the oven and bake uncovered for 15-20 minutes. Remove from the oven
- Place an even layer of RubyFrost apple slaw on top of the cheese and place the slider roll tops on top of the sliders. Slice and serve immediately.
