Add melted butter, brown sugar and cinnamon to the apple mixture with a pinch of salt and mix together.
Roll out pie crust on a floured surface. Then use the heart shaped cookie hearts to cut out a bunch of hearts.
Put heart cutouts on a parchment lined baking sheet and top with apple pie filling. Make sure to leave about a 1/2-inch border and brush the egg around it. Place a second heart cutout on top.
Press the edges of the pie together with a fork and rub with the rest of the egg and a dash of salt.
Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden + then cool on a cooling rack.
Drizzle frosting mixture (powdered sugar + milk) on top. PS I just add in a little bit more milk at a time until you get a thicker consistency to drizzle on top! ADD sprinkles!
